Classic Partners
Mission Statement: The Classic Partners is a charitable organization formed to be an apprentice program for involvement with the Atlantic City LPG Benefit Association which benefits the community through its golf tournament, the ShopRite LPGA Classic. The Classic Partners organization seeks a membership of "next generation" community contributors and leaders who will create awareness and be ambassadors for the ShopRite LPGA Classic. The Classic Partners will strive to raise funds for ShopRite LPGA Classic beneficiaries, in addition to beneficiaries designated solely by the Classic Partners. The Classic Partners will also provide its members with an opportunity to network with their peers within the community.
Classic Partners was established prior to the 2002 tournament by the ShopRite LPGA Classic to mobilize the region's young adults who are community and business leaders into an organization. This organization supports the ShopRite LPGA Classic and its affiliated beneficiaries through networking and the execution of fund-raising events.
Classic Partners offers many benefits, including a networking list of all Classic Partners for business opportunities, several social networking functions during the year; reduced rates at area golf clubs; clubhouse pass credential with access to the skybox located on the 18th green of the Seaview Marriott Resort & Spa for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the ShopRite LPGA Classic tournament week ($675 value); ShopRite LPGA Classic tickets at half price; individual ticket to the Taste of the LPGA for $125 (a savings of $50) and a 25% discount in the Classic retail tent during tournament week of May 29 - June 4, 2006.
Classic Partners volunteered their efforts to help the 2004 ShopRite LPGA Classic Charity Auction raise nearly $40,000. The charity auction was held Monday, June 14th at the Atlantic City Hilton Resort Casino and chaired by Suzanne Negro, Director of Special Events for the Atlantic City Hilton. Thanks to all the Classic Partners who participated in helping to make this event such a success!
Monies raised from various member events throughout the year will be donated to Birdies fore babies® (benefiting maternal newborn units at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Shore Memorial Hospital), the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and Gilda's Club South Jersey.
Classic Partners currently has 64 members and is growing rapidly. To find out more about Classic Partners and their upcoming events, please contact John Sarkos at the tournament office at (609)-383-8330 or email at jsarkos@shopritelpga.org.
